Lufthansa Pact Set to Make US Travel Easier

If you are travelling to USA from Kolkata then you have reason to cheer. Lufthansa, German carrier operates three flights out of Kolkata every week. This also has entered into codeshare agreements with American carriers Continental Airlines and JetBlue, allowing seamless travel throughout USA.

Earlier Air India and British Airways withdrew direct flights between kolkata and London, as a result the frequent travellers to the US from Kolkata in IT and other sectors have been facing affected. Erlier passengers preferred to travel through the airport, now, the pacts that Lufthansa has signed will make transiting through Frankfurt as convenient.

The twin partnerships will significantly expand transfer options for Indian travellers and customers to USA. Passengers can now book flights from their hubs at Newark, Houston, Boston and New York.

The codeshare will particularly benefit business fliers from Kolkata who had only Emirates as an option when flying to America's east coast. With Lufthansa's new partners offering a strong domestic network, it will be of great help to passengers transiting to cities and towns within America.

From New York to Boston, Code-share flights will be available on 12 key destinations in America Austin, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Tampa, Raleigh, West Palm beach, Fort Lauderdale, San Juan (in Puerto Rico).
