Here is some attractions of Goa in India.
Stone Sculpture:
A stone sculpture on top of Palolem Island. Created by Jacek Tylicki and called: "Give if you can. Take if you have to" became a pilgrimage place and easy jungle walk.
SHREE MANGUESH TEMPLE:
The Mangueshi temple is one of the most famous of all Goan temples. The Mangueshi temple is situated at Priol in Ponda taluka, about 20 kms from the capital city
of Panaji. The surrounding area is called as Mangueshi. At the entrance to the temple is a majestic lamp tower, one of the special architectural features of many Goan temples.
The temple has been rebuilt and renovated twice during the reign of the Marathas and yet another time in the year 1890. The final renovation occurred in the year 1973 when a golden kalash (holy vessel) was fitted a top the tall dome of the temple.
There is a fascinating legend attached to the name of the Lord Manguesh, who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. The name Manguesh is not used for Lord Shiva anywhere else in India. The ancient legend states that Lord Shiva once lost everything he had
in a game of dice with his wife Parvati. He decided to go into self-imposed exile and arrived in Goa.
The temple architecture is a mix of Hindu, Christian and Muslim influences and is lit up in magnificent lights during the annual Jatra which is held in January. The deity is taken out in a palanquin and paraded in huge chariots during the festival which is attended by thousands of devotees.
Saturday Night Bazar:
Alike the Anjuna Flea Market, this market is also a must place to visit. The "Arpora Saturday Night Bazaar" as the name suggests is held every Saturday night, at Arpora village which is just few Kms north from Calangute on the way to Anjuna.
You will find lot of activities going around over here. The lights in the night atmosphere make this place very alive. There are buyers and seller from
all around the world.
There are many artists performing on the Stage, which is right at the center of the market.Food stalls includes variety that varies fromtandooritikkas to Italian pizzas and sushi.
